The music is simple and songs describe everyday relationships and jobs, more often centered on bringing water from ponds or wells. Songs are used to narrate the legendary battles of Rajput warriors. Folk songs are generally ballads. They related heroic deeds and love stories of Rajputs. Religious or devotional songs are called BHAJANS and often accompanied by different musical instruments such as Dholak, Sarangi and Sitar. The Ghoomar Dance from Udaipur and Kalbeliya Dance from Jaisalmer have attained international appreciation.

Art & Architecture of Rajasthan
Rajasthan is globally famous for its traditional, colorful art & magnificent architecture. Art works from Rajasthan like Block prints, Bagaru prints, Tie & Die prints, Zari Work, Embroidery Work, Sanganer prints, etc are worldwide famous and major export products of royal Rajasthan. Handicrafts of Rajasthan are also worldwide famous. Handcraft products are wooden furniture, carpets, blue potteries, etc. That’s why; the state is often described as Shoppers’ Paradise. Religions in Rajasthan
Hinduism is the main religions of Rajasthan. Jains and Muslims are other significant religious groups in the state. Pabuji, Ramdeoji, Gogaji, Mehaji, Tejaji and Harbhuji are some of local heroes and deities of Rajasthan. The most popular Hindu deities are Lord Krishna, Lord Rama and God Surya. Language of Rajasthan
The principal language of Rajasthan is Rajasthani. Hindi is the official language. There are four other dialects; Marwari in the West, Jaipuri in the East, Malwi in the Southeast and Mewati in the Northeast. These days, Hindi is replacing the principal Rajasthani language. You may also find English speaking people in all the major cities of Rajasthan. You many also find some people in villages who can speak and understand English.
