Palace on Wheel tour
The Palace on Wheels is a luxury tourist train in India. In was launched by Indian Railways in order to promote Rajasthan Tourism. It has been highly acclaimed and popular among tourists since its launch. It is one of the world’s most exciting and luxury rail journeys, as this tourist train provides more luxury facilities on board. On this exciting rail journey you will have a brilliant opportunity to see many historical places and tourists destinations of royal and imperial Indian state of Rajasthan. The tour starts from New Delhi (the capital city of India) and come back to the city via Agra after going through various tourist destinations of Rajasthan such as Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, and Bharatpur.
Facilities on Board the Palace on Wheels
The Palace on Wheels provides truly royal and luxury accommodation facilities on board the train. There are 14 fully air-conditioned saloons in the train with channel music, attached washrooms, hot & cold water showers and wall to wall carpeting. There is also a well-stocked bar on board the train with live TV facility and serving wine and liquor of sprits of Indian and international. There are two restaurants on board the train serving lip smacking continental, Indian, Chinese and Rajasthani cuisines food. Guests will be provided with an arrival kits. Arrival kit consists of brochures, stationary items and cards. Attendant is always available. Hence guests can ask for anything additional. There are also facilities available for indoor games on the train. Guests can enjoy indoor games like playing cars, Chinese checkers, chess, carom board and crossword puzzles. There is also a lounge where guests can relax, interact, make friends, get together and play games. Grand welcome on arrival at Safdarjung Railway Station with Tilak on forehead and garland. Departure for Jaipur. Dinner on board.
Day 02: Thursday | Jaipur
Arrival : 03:45 AM
Departure : 11:30 PM
Arrival in Jaipur, the Capital City of Rajasthan & famed as the Pink City. Breakfast on board. Welcome with garland and sehnai. Departure by luxury coach for sightseeing. Major attractions include City Palace, Jantar Mantar, City Palace, Shopping and Elephant Ride to Amber Fort. Lunch at Amber Fort. Return to train by 6:00 PM. Dinner on board. Departure for Sawai Madhopur, famous for Ranthambhore National Park.
Day 03: Friday | Sawai Madhopur

After arrival at Sawai Madhopur, proceed on jungle expedition of Ranthambhore National Park. Return to train. Breakfast on board. Train departs for Chittorgarh.

Lunch on board. Arrival at Chittorgarh. Chittorgarh sightseeing with visit of invincible Chittorgarh Fort. Enjoy evening tea and Light & Sound Show at Fort. Return to train. Dinner will be onboard. Train departs for next destination Udaipur – the city of lakes & palaces.
Day 04: Saturday | Udaipur

Arrival in Udaipur – one of the most romantic cities in India. Have breakfast on board. Depart for sightseeing tour covering City Palace, Lake Palace, Saheliyon-Ki-Bari, Shopping and Crystal Gallery. Lavish lunch at Palace Hotel. Boat Ride on Lake Pichola. Return to Train. Evening tea onboard. Train departs for Jaisalmer – the Golden City. Dinner will be on board.
Day 05: Sunday | Jaisalmer

Breakfast will be onboard. Arrival in Jaisalmer – located in the heart of the Thar Desert (Great Indian Desert). Depart for sightseeing tour. Major attractions include Golden Fort, Jain Temples, Havelis, Gadsisar Lake, etc. Return to train for lunch. After lunch depart for Sam Sand Dunes by camel safari ride. Dinner & cultural program at heritage hotel. Return to train. Train departs for its next destination Jodhpur, famed as Blue City.
Day 06: Monday | Jodhpur

Arrival at Mandore Jodhpur. Have breakfast on board. Depart for sightseeing. Major attractions include Mehrangarh Fort, Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jaswant Thada Memorial and Shopping. Have lavish lunch at 5-star hotel. Return to train. Train departs for its next destination Bharatpur. Dinner will be on board.
Day 07: Tuesday | Bharatpur

Arrival at Bharatpur. Have breakfast on board. Visit Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. Return to train. Train departs for its next destination Agra – the City of Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

Departure: 11:00 PM
Arrival at Agra Fort Railway Station. Visit magnificent Agra Fort. Have lavish lunch at 5-star hotel. Visit the white marble monument Taj Mahal – the Symbol of Love. Enjoy shopping. Return to train. Dinner will be onboard. Train departs for its final destination Delhi.
Day 08: Wednesday | Arrival at Delhi
